Market Days. La Mata market day is on a Wednesday. Nothing like the size the on in Torrevieja but still plenty on sale. 

Torrevieja Market is on a Friday. This is said to be the largest market on the Costa Blanca. It will take you several hours to walk round. Make sure you haggle with prices or you will pay over the odds. Like any market watch your valuables, there are pick pockets about. Don't be tempted to play the game 'Find The Pea' under the three shells or cups etc. You will lose. Those that win are in on the scam. That out of the way enjoy your visit. There is everything for sale, fruit n veg, clothes, gifts too numerous to mention them all. There is a lovely bar in the veg row, BAR CARLOS, well worth a visit. Why not have a meal and a drink before you head back. Very reasonable prices. You may have to wait for a table as it is very popular.
